Stop guessing Pinterest keywords — try this instead

Hello Reader,

Let’s be honest — Pinterest SEO can feel like guesswork sometimes.

You do your keyword research, find 50 ideas, and then… freeze.

Which ones actually matter?

Which ones will help your content show up when your audience searches for it?

And which ones are just vanity keywords everyone else is chasing?

Here’s the truth: Pinterest doesn’t reward you for using more keywords. It rewards you for using them smarter.

And that comes down to how you organize them.

Most creators scatter their keywords everywhere — titles, boards, descriptions — without a clear pattern or connection.

But the algorithm doesn’t just read words. It looks for context.

If your keywords don’t connect, Pinterest can’t understand what your account is about.

This week, I’m sharing a simple SEO technique that fixes that problem and it helps you group your keywords so Pinterest sees your content as one complete topic, not fifty random ideas.

It’s what I use (and teach inside The Pinterest Roadmap) to make my Pins rank faster and stay relevant longer.

I’ll walk you through the process in tomorrow’s YouTube video — and show you how to use AI to make it even easier.

Stay tuned. This one’s going to help those who struggle with choosing keywords for their Pins.

Watch for tomorrow’s email. I’m releasing a video to the full explainer so you can start organizing your Pinterest keywords like a pro.

Cheers,

Heather

Hi Reader, This week, we talked a lot about AI — how Pinterest is changing, how creators can adapt, and how tools like The Pin Bot can make marketing simpler. But I want to end the week with a reminder:AI can make you faster. AI can help you to get inspired. But it will never make you you. The best performing Pins on Pinterest aren’t perfect. Most of the time they're the ugly duds you thought wouldn't do well anyways. They’re personal. They make people feel something... curiosity, nostalgia,...

Hey Reader, Earlier this week, we talked about how Pinterest’s new AI settings are putting control back into users’ hands — finally letting real creators shine again. But here’s the truth: AI isn’t going anywhere. The key isn’t to resist it — it’s to learn how to make it work for you. That’s why I built The Pin Bot. It’s the exact AI assistant I use daily to manage, optimize, and scale my Pinterest marketing — without wasting time or losing my creative edge. Here’s what that actually looks...
