Pinterest in 2025


Hello Reader,

I made the yearly "what I would tell my friends video" in December and published it last week.

If you're looking to make the most out of Pinterest in 2025 it might just be worth a watch. I turned on timestamps so you can skip around to various parts of the video too.

What is Pinterest & how does it help business grow?

From searching for inspiration, curating and collaborating with others to update their boards, and to purchase products from brands they love - Pinterest is a place for everyone from creator or curator to publishers, agencies, brands and e-commerce.

There are 3 big things you need to know about creating a Pinterest strategy.

First, Pinterest isn’t a secondary platform—it's a strategic asset for your content.

Pinterest is a search engine that is a powerhouse for evergreen and trending content.

Second, before you get started you really need to find your ICA on the platform to connect with them properly.

There isn't any pinning happily in your bubble without incorporating a keyword and creative strategy that is going to lead you to meaningful success.

Third, set yourself up for success by understanding all the parts of a Pinterest strategy.

The big 4 are:

  • Keywords
  • Creatives
  • Scheduling
  • Analytics


Knowing how to use each part of your strategy to really drive results is going to be important and dependent upon your products, audience, content and goals.

There's not one-sized fits all approach but there are foundations that no matter what you should be incorporating. Some will grow faster than others.

What's New in 2025:

  1. Predict the future tool in Trends - This tool allows you to see where Trends are headed in advance.
  2. Keywords - I include this because it might be new to you but it might not be new to everyone reading this. Use the keywords. I give you far too many tutorials and strategies for you not to be doing this work.
  3. Collage Pins - This is a new format of pin that can be powerful for both content creators and e-commerce shops. Check out some collages from Pinterest.
  4. Simplified Pin Format - This is basically taking all the pin types that we had the option to create in the past and making 1 creation tool. Now if you go to your menu you should see "create pin" - If you do not have the new scheduler simply use this URL to get to the former "idea pin builder" which is the same thing. All formats can be created in one builder. You can use images and videos.
  5. Instagram Claim Integration
  6. A new global content calendar
    1. Submit your content for February now
